The drug is used for the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers in the acute phase, acute or chronic gastritis against the background of normal or increased secretion, reflux esophagitis, diaphragmatic hernia, duodenitis, enteritis and other gastrointestinal disorders caused by dietary disorders, taking medications, drinking coffee or alcohol, as well as smoking.

However, there are a number of contraindications to the use of Maalukol. It is not recommended to use the drug in case of hypersensitivity to its components, severe renal dysfunction, Alzheimer's disease, during the neonatal period and during breastfeeding. During pregnancy, it can be used for no more than 3 days, and breastfeeding should be stopped during treatment.

The use of Maalukol may cause some side effects. From the gastrointestinal tract, taste disturbances, nausea, vomiting, cramps, epigastric pain and constipation may occur.
