Tropical malaria (lat. Plasmodium tropicale) is a type of plasmodium. Signs of the development of malaria in adult patients are more obvious than those of other types of malaria. It is characterized by high fever (>40 °C for 2-3 days), chills, nausea and vomiting, severe muscle pain and bluish skin due to abundant pigment deposition.
