Mania Transitory

In psychiatry, there are two manias - typical mania and atypical, or atypical. The atypical form is not much different from the typical one in terms of symptoms, but in the form of an onset, affective pseudodementia is observed. Typical manias account for only 6-8% of all such psychoses, but their frequency in general psychiatric practice is not so significant. About half of the cases of typical mania are recorded in the non-clinical population.

Typically, primary mania lasts from one to three months, repeated attacks occur in approximately 15%, but the number of requests can be even greater, since some patients “spoil” the diagnosis. It happens less often that a person with the disease by the age of 30 experiences
