Masks

Masks are one of the most ancient means for facial skin care. Apply any mask, leave it on your face for 10-20 minutes, then rinse off. There are many types of masks that have a nourishing, healing, cleansing and astringent effect. Masks increase blood circulation and smooth out wrinkles (keep in mind that all these masks cannot do miracles, but they refresh the face and make the skin smooth and soft). Masks are a good addition to your daily facial skin care routine and should not be neglected.

To deeply cleanse the skin, tighten enlarged pores, smooth out rough skin and strengthen the facial muscles, you can make the following mask: 1 tbsp. a spoonful of Fuller's earth with a tonic lotion or astringent to obtain a viscous paste. The tonic lotion and astringent can be replaced with lemon juice. Lemon has a whitening effect and is useful for contaminated facial skin. Using your fingertips, easily spread the mixture over your face. Using your palms, apply the cream to your neck. Do not apply the mask to blood vessels if they are on the surface. For oily skin, leave this mask on for about 10 minutes. For dry combination skin, 5 minutes is enough. If the mask tightens the skin too much and it causes an unpleasant sensation, remove it immediately. Do this with warm water and cotton wool. Cleanse your face with light movements so as not to stretch the skin. After this, apply a little tonic for dry and normal skin and an astringent for oily skin. If your skin is very dry, apply some moisturizer. If spots appear on your face, do not apply makeup.

When you make a mask, it is useful to place cotton swabs soaked in tea or rose water on your eyes. When caring for your facial skin at home, the ability to relax is of great importance. Sit comfortably in a chair or, better yet, in bed, place pillows under your feet to slightly elevate them. This helps you relax. It’s better in the twilight, don’t move, and especially don’t talk. To completely relax, set your alarm clock for the right time.

Masks are a kind of warm cleansing bath for the skin. For dry skin, it is recommended to apply a thin layer of nourishing cream to the face and only then apply a mask.

Cold masks are applied to the face for 15-20 minutes. To protect your eyes and refresh the skin around them, you can make a chamomile compress.

After the mask has dried, you need to wash your face first with warm, then with cold water. Then lightly massage your face and neck using upward movements. The tightening effect can be enhanced by adding lemon juice or toilet vinegar to the water intended for washing off the mask, or by wiping your face with a piece of ice wrapped in a towel.

Products used for cosmetic purposes must be fresh and thoroughly washed. Mash soft berries or grind them with a wooden or silver spoon in a glass or porcelain bowl, and grate hard ones or process them using a mixer.

Before applying juices, gruel or a cosmetic mask to your face, you need to rinse it well or wipe it with toilet milk. Moisten a piece of gauze with the prepared juice, after cutting out holes for the eyes and nose in it and apply it to the face. A thicker mask is applied directly to the facial skin in a thick layer. It should be kept for 20 minutes. Remove it with a cotton swab moistened with warm water.

Strengthening, stimulating masks should not be used very often, as they cause an effect for several hours, and then the skin becomes more tired and withered. The best effect of masks is before bed, do not leave it on overnight, as it will last for 2-3 days. Before the mask, the skin is refreshed either with a steam bath or with compresses of hot and fairly warm water. The mask, as a rule, should be on the patient’s face in a supine position; after the mask, a nourishing cream should be beaten into the facial skin with your fingertips or lubricated with olive oil.
