Medical Aid Ambulance

**Emergency care** is a type of medical care that provides quick and effective treatment for acute medical conditions such as heart attack, stroke, trauma, poisoning and other medical problems. In the modern world, this is one of the most important components in the field of healthcare, since the life and health of people depends on the speed and quality of care provided.

*Historical background* In Russia, emergency medical care began to develop in the 1860s. Under Alexander II, the Institute for the Advanced Training of Doctors was created, where they began training future doctors using the new system. Then paramedic and medical schools, clinics and hospitals were organized. In the first ten years, more than twenty thousand medical posts and stations were organized. The first emergency hospital was opened in St. Petersburg, and the first ambulance station was opened in Moscow.

An emergency hospital is a comprehensive medical facility that provides 24-hour medical care and services to the public. It includes an emergency room, intensive care and resuscitation rooms, an operating room and diagnostic departments, doctor's offices and a laboratory, as well as a post for a doctor on duty. In addition, emergency hospitals may have outpatient departments with diagnostic equipment and physician offices with a wide range of specializations.

An ambulance station, as a rule, is located in the city and serves a certain area on call, transports patients, and organizes emergency medical care. An ambulance station may have resuscitation equipment, a fluorography room, equipped ambulances and mobile teams of doctors. Its activities are aimed at preventing and treating diseases, providing emergency assistance in case of fires, accidents, natural disasters and other emergency situations.
