Midantan
Brief description of the drug Antiparkinsonian drug, has alpha and dopaminergic effects. Selectively stimulates dopamine receptors in the central nervous system, enhances cognitive functions; has antiasthenic, antiapoplectic (due to the elimination of autonomic disorders), anticholinergic and nootropic effects (activates adrenergic transmission in nerves and neurons of the brain). In Parkinson's disease, it reduces parkinsonian tone, akinesia and rigidity, and improves mood. The mechanism of action is associated with inhibition of the release of monoamines (mostly dopamine, less adrenaline and serotonin) in the striatum and subthalamic nucleus. To a lesser extent, it changes neostriatum-nuclear dopaminergic mechanisms in other parts of the central nervous system. Pharmacokinetics
