Myelitis Traumatic

Traumatic myelitis is a rare purulent-inflammatory disease of the gray matter of the spinal cord.

Myelitis is an inflammatory process in which the myelin sheath of nerve fibers is affected. In other words, there is massive damage or destruction of myelin. Damage to the membrane is called demyelination.

It is important to note that the same term refers to myelitis that develops after spinal cord injury, myopathy, various pathologies of the back and spine, and endocrine disorders. In this case, the causes of the disease are located in the human body, but are in no way related to mechanical influence from the outside. And one way or another directly related to disruption of the nervous system.
