Dosimetry

Dosimetry (from the Greek doza - dose; metreo - measure) is a scientific discipline and branch of measurement that develops methods for assessing the effects of ionizing radiation on the human body.

Dosimetry methods are used to measure radiation dose, dose rate, radiation distribution in space, time and on the surface of the human body, as well as to create protection against radioactive and other types of radiation.

The purpose of dosimetry analysis is to determine the dose of any radiation to which personnel or the public in a certain area have been exposed, and to identify and correct any possible errors made in the measurements. In the case of sources of ionizing radiation
