Microblepharon

Microblepharitis is an eye infection that can develop inside the eyelid or affect the conjunctiva. Microblephytar is an infection that develops under the upper eyelid. It usually causes swollen eyelids, redness of the eyelids and tears. The main symptoms are swelling and redness of the conjunctiva of the eyelids, lacrimation, itching, pain and sensitivity to light. Diagnosis is by visual examination of the eyelids using a slit lamp. Sometimes a biopsy is necessary. Treatment may include ointments, eye drops, steroids, or topical antibiotics. Monitoring of treatment is necessary to avoid recurrence of infection.
