Negative reviews

Finally found the time to write my review about microcurrents. I am 31 years old. After turning 30, I decided to start taking care of my skin. Problems that bother me: enlarged pores on the face, the skin has lost its former elasticity and has become flabby. The cosmetologist recommended microcurrents and massage. I decided to start with the first one. I did 10 sessions over 1 month. I was very disappointed. I didn't see any effect. What they write in the reviews simply amazes me. This stupid procedure, for which I paid about 15,000 rubles. I'll try something different.

Advantages:

Flaws:

there is no effect

Details:

This month I did several rejuvenating facial treatments - microcurrents, galvanic currents for the face. The salon had a promotion for this procedure and offered a 50% discount, but on the condition that the client pays immediately for 5 sessions. At the same time, it was promised that the galvanic current procedure promotes facial rejuvenation, enhances blood microcirculation in cells, and therefore strengthens the tone of the facial skin and renews the skin. The procedure is performed by a cosmetologist using a device that operates on both mains power and batteries. That is, it was not a huge stationary device with a large number of different attachments, but a small one, it is called the “Home Electroplating” Facial Device. This device is intended for only one procedure - skin rejuvenation using galvanic currents. The size of this device can be compared to the size of a regular hair dryer. The whole procedure lasts about an hour. First, the cosmetologist cleanses the face, then applies a gel guide and begins to move these devices over the face, but only moves along massage lines (this is the so-called vibration massage). This device buzzes rather unpleasantly during the procedure. The cosmetologist works in this mode for about 10 minutes. I didn’t experience any sensations. No pain, no tingling, no burning, etc. Then the device switches to another mode - the mode of galvanic currents. There is no longer any buzzing here. But there are no sensations either. We lie down for another 10 minutes. Then the cosmetologist applies some kind of cream and does a final manual facial massage for 7-10 minutes. Each procedure costs about 400 rubles. After the procedure, the face turns a little pink. But nothing more. I did not notice any rejuvenating effect from these procedures. Therefore, I decided to abandon these procedures. I took the remaining money back. In a word, the procedure of galvanic currents using the “Home Galvanic” facial device seemed completely ineffective to me. And I wouldn't recommend it.

Neutral reviews

Well, after the microcurrent procedure there really is a noticeable effect - the face brightens, the color normalizes. Plus, when using any gel forms, a microfilm is formed, which gives a feeling of tightening. Again, some people get a healthy glow. but these are all effects of one or two days at best, and at worst before the first wash

Advantages:

A pleasant, painless, and most importantly effective procedure!

Flaws:

The procedure is not cheap, and the results are not always noticeable.

I went to microcurrents before the new year. I wanted to remove nasolabial folds. The procedure itself is very pleasant and very effective, no worse than any painful injections! I can say that when I saw myself in the before and after photos, the result was very noticeable, my nasolabial lips were smoothed out.
Of course, everything is individual for everyone, for some it doesn’t help much, for others it helps, everyone’s skin reacts differently to certain procedures.
Personally, I liked it, and I will definitely repeat this procedure in a year.

Advantages:

Pleasant sensations during the procedure

Flaws:

I learned about the microcurrent procedure from my cosmetologist. Having talked about it, she promised an even complexion, no dark circles under the eyes and complete relief from acne. The procedure must be followed in a course. I had five sessions. Lasts about 50 minutes. Although the therapy has a threatening name, in reality it is practically painless, and in some places even pleasant. I personally always fell asleep. The most noticeable place was my forehead, when I felt a slight pain.
I went to the course every other day or two so that there was a cumulative effect. At the end, I didn’t see any obvious changes. All those problem areas that bothered me remained in the same state. But I still enjoyed the procedure itself. This includes a massage and a mask after the procedure and the electric shocks themselves. Maybe my skin is such that microcurrents turned out to be too weak for me.

I went for the procedure on the advice of a cosmetologist. I have had a problem since childhood - constant swelling under my eyes (poor vision). Creams hardly help.

I took a course of 6 procedures (at least 10 preferably), one procedure is 1200.

Preparation: first, the cosmetologist cleanses the face and lubricates it with hyauron gel.

Procedure: then the cosmetologist runs microcurrents over the face with 2 nozzles, first with pinpoint nozzles, then with wider nozzles. The cosmetologist, depending on your sensations, sets the strength of the current. You want your face to tingle a little - that’s how the effect will be.

The procedure is generally pleasant and takes about 40 minutes.

Afterwards, they put an alginate mask on me, under which they apply a serum based on the type of face or problem, I had couperiosis.

then they treated my face with cream and I went home happy))))

The procedure gives an effect, the skin actually smoothes out a little, even the pores have narrowed a little, the complexion has become more even.

As for the swelling around the eyes, they have become less, which was a pleasant surprise. lack of sleep became less noticeable on workdays.

but there is one disadvantage of the procedure - it must be done twice a week - in order for there to be an effect, and it is advisable to take large courses, probably over 2 months. The effect of this procedure is simply short-lived. and it turns out to be good money.

and one more minus: two evenings a week you wear creams without makeup, so that your face rests, the effect is better, which of course is annoying.

Positive reviews

I once had experience using this procedure on myself. The procedure is truly safe, especially when it is performed by qualified specialists. A relatively small amount of time is spent, and as for the pricing policy, the prices are more than acceptable. The main thing is not to get carried away and maintain a sense of proportion. But overall the procedure is very good. I personally recommend it.

Having come across a description of the microcurrent rejuvenation procedure, I thought that this was exactly what I needed. But at that time I had contraindications - pregnancy. And after giving birth and breastfeeding, I decided to test the effectiveness of this method on myself. The face has really changed: the swelling has subsided, and overall the appearance is fresher. Another positive thing: in winter, my skin on my forehead usually peels. But after the course of microcurrents this did not happen. I'm very pleased with the result

I took a microcurrent course. Honestly, I didn’t see any effect either on the 4th or 5th time. I even began to despair. I am 34 years old, the first wrinkles and dark circles under my eyes have appeared. The result became visible only after the 8th procedure. The freshness of the face appeared, the oval of the face became clear, small wrinkles became almost invisible. I like it. The procedure itself is very pleasant.

Advantages:

Visible result; facial skin is fresh and toned.

Flaws:

Not very cheap if you do the full course.

Good afternoon, dear readers!
Today I would like to write about the cosmetic procedure “Microcurrent Therapy”. My cosmetologist recommended doing it 7 times every 2-3 days. This procedure applies to coursework. There is no point in doing it once. As a rule, the result will be barely noticeable.
Microcurrent therapy is the effect of pulsed currents on muscles. As a result, alternating muscle contraction and tension occurs, which entails improved blood supply to blood vessels, skin tone increases, and skin regeneration processes are accelerated.
The procedure is quite comfortable, lasts 40 minutes (face area).
There are certain contraindications for this procedure: the presence of a pacemaker; oncological diseases; pregnancy and breastfeeding; epilepsy; infectious skin diseases at the site of the proposed procedure.
Having completed a course of microcurrent therapy, I can note my sensations and changes.
Firstly, skin tone has improved and the oval of the face has tightened. Secondly, the smallest facial wrinkles disappeared (the more noticeable ones remained unchanged). Facial skin looks fresh and rested.
For myself, I decided to do a course of microcurrent therapy several times a year.
I highly recommend it! I'm sure you'll like it!

Advantages:

a clearer and tighter oval of the face; eliminates swelling;

Flaws:

Recently I began to notice that the skin on my face looked somewhat flabby, and unsightly bags had formed under my eyes. I understand that this is due to stress and lack of sleep, but, unfortunately, I cannot correct the surrounding situation, so I had to turn to hardware cosmetology for help. I decided to try the vaunted microcurrents.
The first thing I liked was how painless the procedure was. I felt practically nothing. And secondly, a great result. After completing the full course (I needed 8 procedures in total), the result is very noticeable. A competent cosmetologist + a good device is a clear success. I don’t remember the name of the device now, but I can safely recommend cosmetologist Inna from the Angel beauty club (in St. Petersburg).
In general, the result of my course was complete elimination of bags under the eyes, noticeable tightening of the skin (the effect is like lifting). My face acquired tone, I began to look healthier and less tired.

Since you looked at the reviews, it means you found out what

then for the beast "microcurrents". Therefore, I will not tell you the technique of the procedure. So as not to torment your curiosity))).

So, why did I do the procedure? I was tormented by ulcers on my face and acne. I couldn’t use creams. Any cream, tonic, lotion immediately results in pustular rashes and comedones. But. Due to the fact that I could not use creams, wrinkles began to appear. Vicious circle. I have been looking for a decent cosmetologist for a long time. And lo and behold, I found it.

First, the face was cleaned, mechanical cleansing. Then the Darsonval course. Masks. And finally, microcurrents. Moreover, the cosmetologist used a gel with silver, which has an antiseptic effect, as a means for carrying out the procedure.

The procedure is quite interesting. Your face twitches back and forth. The muscles move. Not everyone likes it, but I tolerated it well. I even liked it.

  1. The skin became even, elastic and smooth.
  2. Improved complexion.
  3. The puffiness and swelling of the face disappears.
  4. Pimples have disappeared.
  5. Small wrinkles are gone.
  6. The oval of the face has tightened.
  7. The bags and dark circles under the eyes are gone.

Thus, the procedure is very useful. There is no harm from it. Now I do the course every six months.

Be beautiful. And healthy.

I decided to write a review on the topic of facial care.

For those over 30, I recommend hardware massage with microtomes instead of injections. I had a problem in the lower part of my face (they took it) and a little bags under my eyes. I thought about getting injections on the advice of my friends, but at the last moment I refused because my face still looks unnatural. Botox is fundamentally dangerous. After a long search, I found a massage with microtomes in the salon. You need to do 10 procedures at once and then one per month. The result is smoother skin. Wrinkles are reduced. Facial turgor (tone) is five years younger. For those over 40, I cannot guarantee the effectiveness of the procedure.

The massage is performed using a cream-based device. It tingles and stings a little, but it's tolerable. After the massage, mask and you're done.

After the first unsuccessful experience with a cosmetologist and a useless procedure

carboxytherapy, dug through mountains of literature (websites) about microcurrents. Many cosmetologists recommend it, love it and use it often.

Some introductory information:

Microcurrents for the face is a type of physiotherapy aimed at rejuvenating the skin by exposing it to a pulsed current of very low voltage. The procedure is performed using an electrode and special preparations that act as conductors. Unlike myostimulation, microcurrents do not have a direct effect on the facial muscles. Microcurrent impulses are directed into the cell, into blood vessels and lymphatic vessels, and indirectly into muscle fibers.

Indications for microcurrent therapy:

  1. the need to correct the oval of the face;
  2. elimination and prevention of wrinkles;
  3. care for dry and overly sensitive skin;
  4. preparing patients before plastic surgery, as well as postoperative therapy;
  5. treatment of acne and post-acne;
  6. treatment of rosacea and rosacea;
  7. lifting of the chest and buttocks;
  8. fight against cellulite at different stages;
  9. swelling, lymphostasis, therapy after liposuction;
  10. treatment of hyperpigmentation (in particular photoaging);
  11. flabby and aging skin.

Contraindications for microcurrent therapy:

  1. the presence of metal structures and pins in the body;
  2. pregnancy;
  3. severe somatic diseases, epilepsy;
  4. malignant neoplasms;
  5. heart rhythm disturbance;
  6. presence of an electrocardiomyostimulator;
  7. the presence of gold threads;
  8. history of heart attacks and strokes;
  9. individual intolerance to electric current.

I would like to note that this the procedure dissolves the drug injected into the faces. Therefore, if you want to get rid of it quickly, then you can do it, but if you don’t want to, then first microcurrents, and then Botox.

I chose a salon with the best price (1000 rubles) and one summer evening they performed this procedure on me. It goes like this: you lie down on the couch, they put a cap on you, cleanse your facial skin, apply gel, and move electrodes over your skin. There is a tingling sensation, especially sensitive in the eye area, but on the forehead it is almost not felt. The cosmetologist first treated one side of the face and neck for 15 minutes, and then the other, from bottom to top along the massage lines. Time flies quickly and unnoticed, then she applied a leave-in face mask. After the procedure, we talked a little, she asked me how old I was, I told her that I was 28, she said that it was just right for that age, but not later than 45 years old, she noted that my skin was good. I generally agree, but still there is swelling and the oval of the face has swollen a little, I asked her what procedures are best to undergo, to which she sent me to the reception, and there they simply handed me a price list. A very strange approach.

Already in the evening, before going to bed, when I applied the night cream, I noticed that the skin became tighter and more elastic, especially in the chin area, and if usually when applying the cream along the massage lines, the skin “gathered” a little, but now this was not the case. In the morning there was no swelling, the skin was still so thick you couldn’t really pinch it. The wrinkles around the eyes were less noticeable. I was honestly pleasantly surprised, because after one procedure I didn’t even expect any effect at all, but here I was such a joy! What will happen then after 10 procedures!

Then I went for a second procedure, and to another specialist, she treated the skin of the face along massage lines, but somehow chaotically, and not systematically like the last time. There was an effect, but not as stunning as the first time.

I liked the procedure, but a course of procedures is still required, which costs 10-15 thousand rubles. so I ordered a device for home use on the Internet (I will definitely write a review on it)

The life of a modern woman is very busy, full of troubles and worries, which negatively affects the condition of her skin. But modern hardware cosmetology does not stand still, but adopts the best achievements of related fields of medicine. This is how the procedure came about microcurrent facial therapy, allowing the fair sex to look younger without sacrificing their own health.

What is microcurrent therapy and what is its essence?

Microcurrent therapy (MTT, microcurrents) is a physiotherapeutic procedure that involves influencing the face, body, muscle mass and blood circulation using low-voltage, low-voltage electric currents of different frequencies. They are able to penetrate cells without damaging their membranes and activate various biochemical processes there.

This happens due to the effect on the membrane of electricity supplied in short pulses. As a result, intracellular metabolism improves (transport of amino acids, production of AIF), blood circulation in tissues, strengthens the walls of blood vessels, and normalizes the functioning of fibroblasts that promote the production of their own collagen and elastin.

Microcurrents trigger the process of deep self-healing of the skin at the level of the epidermis and dermis, and resume the functioning of various tissues. This helps to rejuvenate the skin from the inside, regenerate its structure, increase tone, and improve color.

Thanks to low-frequency impulses, the active components of medicinal/cosmetic products penetrate deep into the skin structure, and the effect of their influence is enhanced and retained for a long time. Therefore, neuromuscular stimulation with microcurrents is a component of programs for the correction of age-related changes, therapeutic and rehabilitation complexes for the face, body, and scalp.

What problems does microcurrent therapy help with?

This procedure is recommended for the following indications:

  1. unhealthy complexion (pallor, yellowness, cyanosis, lack of blush);
  2. swelling (bags under the eyes);
  3. the appearance of wrinkles;
  4. withering (atonicity) of the breast;
  5. drooping (ptosis) of the soft tissues of the cheeks, chin, appearance of “bulldog cheeks”;
  6. stretch marks, fresh scars;
  7. rosacea (rosacea at the initial stage);
  8. excessive secretion of sebum (seborrhea);
  9. the appearance of pigment spots;
  10. cellulite;
  11. excessive hair loss, alopecia.

Also, microcurrents are used to prevent skin aging, early appearance of wrinkles, as a general strengthening agent after cosmetic procedures, to eliminate swelling, prevent lymph stagnation, and rapid healing of scars after plastic surgery.

Safety and pain of the procedure

Microcurrent therapy is a method of rejuvenation without harm to health, since the effect on the human body is carried out by natural factors. The procedure does not involve the use of high temperatures or trauma to the skin. It is comfortable and even causes pleasant sensations, which helps the client relax and improve the result.

Sometimes during exposure to microcurrents, the skin may feel a slight tingling or redness may be observed at the sites of contact with the electrodes. The reason for this is most often the low pain threshold and sensitivity of the client’s skin. The problem can be solved by consulting a dermatologist and selecting a suitable treatment regimen.

Contraindications

Although MTT is a safe procedure, it has a number of absolute contraindications for use, these are:

  1. epilepsy;
  2. cardio- and vascular diseases;
  3. history of heart attack/stroke;
  4. oncology;
  5. acute viral infection, inflammation or chronic disease during an exacerbation period;
  6. rheumatic diseases;
  7. pregnancy, lactation;
  8. the presence in the client’s body of electrical devices (for example, a pacemaker), metal rods, plates, gold threads that are used to tighten the skin;
  9. postoperative condition (if less than 6 months have passed since surgery);
  10. injury to the skin with a violation of its integrity in the affected area;
  11. individual intolerance to electric current.

A relative contraindication to MTT is the presence of metal or metal-ceramic fillings, braces, and a tendency to form herpes. In this case, the cosmetologist must act carefully, choose the right regimen, and avoid the “problem” area. Also, you cannot generate impulses near the carotid artery, moles, or eyeball.

Microcurrents should be carried out as prescribed by a cosmetologist! During the procedure, no complications should arise, provided that the client is properly examined by a health professional to ensure that he has no contraindications.

Microcurrent therapy device

The modern market of medical and cosmetic equipment offers devices for microcurrent facial therapy from different manufacturers. Among them are:

  1. Devices for massage.
  2. Universal installations that allow, in addition to exposure to electric currents, myostimulation and vibration massage.

MTT devices are available for professional and home use. Compact devices that can easily fit even into a cosmetic bag are suitable for independent use.

Is preliminary preparation necessary before the procedures?

There is no need to prepare in advance for the procedure. To prepare the skin for exposure to microcurrents and improve their effect, a cosmetologist cleanses the skin in the office.

Technique of the procedure

The procedure is carried out in several stages:

  1. The specialist rids the client’s skin of impurities. If facial skin is treated, make-up removal, washing with a special product, and scrubbing are done.
  2. A gel is applied to the treatment area, which acts as a conductor of current, facilitating deeper and more accurate penetration of impulses.
  3. Exposure to a device that generates electric current in pulses. For this, 3 types of electrodes are used:
  1. stationary - cone-shaped and occupying a fixed position;
  2. movable - equipped with disposable cotton swabs, used to treat sensitive areas (around the eyes, mouth);
  3. in the form of gloves - comfortable and functional, with their help you can perform facial massage with microcurrents.

Upon completion, the cosmetologist applies a special cream.

The duration of treatment of the cover depends on its area. For the face and décolleté, 20 minutes is enough; if the area is large or the problems are very pronounced, it will take about 40 minutes.

The type of electrodes and the intensity of their impact on the skin are selected by a specialist individually, taking into account the client’s physiological data and skin reaction.

Advantages and disadvantages

The microcurrent therapy procedure for the face and body has the following advantages:

  1. is painless, safe;
  2. does not damage the skin;
  3. gives a long-lasting effect;
  4. does not require restoration.

Among its disadvantages, one can only note a fairly large list of contraindications and the need for repetition, but this is typical for most cosmetic procedures.

mikrotoki-dlya-lica-otzyvy-hpEuhB.webp

Before and after the full course

What results should I expect and when?

The use of microcurrents allows:

  1. remove excess fluid and toxic accumulations from the body;
  2. renew the skin by stimulating the basal layer of the epidermis;
  3. increase elasticity and skin tone by stimulating fibroblasts that produce collagen and elastin;
  4. activate metabolic processes in cells, improve blood supply to tissues;
  5. level out small wrinkles, smooth out deep ones;
  6. eliminate puffiness, bags and dark circles under the eyes.

The effect of MTT is noticeable after the first exposure. After each subsequent session it increases. Visible changes are observed after 5-6 procedures. After completing the course, the result lasts up to 1 year, but to make it more noticeable, experts recommend performing intermediate maintenance procedures 1 ruble/2-3 months.

The duration of the effect is influenced by a number of factors:

  1. Lifestyle. Constant smoking, stress, overeating, excessive consumption of sweets, lack of sleep, and lack of water in the body have a negative effect on the skin.
  2. Diseases occurring in acute and chronic forms.
  3. Daily care, taking vitamin complexes and minerals.

mikrotoki-dlya-lica-otzyvy-nIlty.webp

Before and after the full course

How many procedures are needed?

The number of microcurrent therapy sessions is prescribed individually by the doctor, based on the client’s skin condition. The primary course consists of 8-12 procedures, carried out every 1-2 days. In difficult cases, their number can increase to 15. After this, take a break for 4-6 months. If the client does not perform maintenance procedures during this time, it is recommended to repeat the course.

If there are no serious indications for microcurrents and you want to improve the condition of your skin (increase tone, refresh your complexion), you can do a single procedure.

Price

The price of MTT depends on the area of influence, the chosen mode, duration of exposure, consumables, and location. So, in Moscow, the cost of processing one area is from 1000 rubles, in the regions - from 500-700. In Kyiv, the cost of the procedure is about 250 UAH. for 20 minutes, 450 UAH. in 40 min.

Are there any complications?

The MTT procedure does not threaten human health, but during its implementation individual side effects may be observed, such as:

  1. slight tingling/tingling;
  2. metallic taste in the mouth;
  3. flashes of light or dots before the eyes.

This is a normal reaction of the body associated with its hypersensitivity, which passes over time.

Complications after the procedure can only occur if:

  1. its incorrect implementation;
  2. the client has contraindications or an allergic reaction to a certain drug.

Microcurrent facial therapy is not a panacea for various skin problems, but when used correctly, it can significantly improve the condition of the skin, restore it from the inside, and provide a woman with a healthy, radiant appearance.

Reviews

I started microcurrent because I was worried about bags under my eyes. The doctor immediately warned me that this could be a consequence of problems in the body, but I decided to try. I saw the result after 4 procedures. At the end of the course, the bags not only disappeared, but also small wrinkles around the eyes smoothed out and the skin tightened. I would like to consolidate this effect, so I will definitely do these procedures in the future.

Microcurrents have become a real salvation for me. Due to frequent business trips, I looked tired, and it was not possible to go to salons. A cosmetologist friend advised me to buy a device for home use and taught me how to use it. I read a lot of reviews about this procedure, but still decided to test it for myself and was satisfied. Now I always look fresh before an important meeting. Of course, you shouldn’t think that microcurrents will solve all skin problems, nor should you expect quick results, but they significantly increase the effectiveness of my home care.

Microcurrents for the face: what is it, features and benefits of the procedure?

Microcurrents for the face - what is it? This issue is of interest to many women who have been using electrophysical procedures for rejuvenation for many years.

Methods using electric current have recently enjoyed enviable popularity. Thanks to them, women can get rid of skin defects and restore a healthy appearance to their face.

Microcurrents for the face, a general idea of the procedure

Microcurrents for the face are a special type of physiotherapy, the main goal of which is to rejuvenate the skin using pulsed current, which has an extremely positive effect.

This effect is based on weak pulsed currents, whose characteristics are in many ways similar to the electrical impulses of the human body.

The soft, delicate effect of microcurrents at the cellular level leads to a significant improvement in blood microcirculation and acceleration of metabolic processes.

In addition, it has a beneficial effect on the vascular system, muscles, and subcutaneous fat. The result of this influence is:

  1. normalizing the electrical charge in cell membranes;
  2. ATP synthesis increases many times (by 500%) and amino acid transport (by 30-40%);
  3. blood microcirculation becomes better, which means that all the required nutrients and oxygen will be delivered to the cells faster;
  4. cellular regeneration, synthesis of hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin proteins occurs at a faster pace;
  5. changes also occur in the muscular lining of the blood vessels - its tone noticeably increases. But with permeability, on the contrary, a problem arises; it decreases. As a result of this, lymphatic outflow increases, toxins and metabolic products are quickly removed from the cells.

These procedures are carried out on special devices that generate current. This is done using electrodes of various shapes and structures.

Such procedures are especially useful for aging skin.
Due to the fact that the alternating current parameters are insignificant, the procedures are not addictive and each session is perceived by the body as something new and useful.

How is microcurrent therapy performed?

The effectiveness of microcurrent therapy has been tested by time. In addition to the fact that electrochemical processes in cells are normalized, this method helps to maintain the further functioning of cells.

Microcurrent therapy can be performed in two ways:

  1. The first method involves cleansing the skin before the session and applying a guide base (cream, gel or tonic will do). After this, for each individual you need to select the intensity of the electrode action and the procedure starts. The cosmetologist spends at least half an hour performing rotational movements on the skin of the face with an electrode. The session ends with the application of gel or cream. This is necessary so that the skin calms down and is protected.
  2. The second method differs from the previous one in that before starting all actions, a special thermal mask is applied to the skin of the face, on top of which a film is distributed. The cosmetologist performs a special massage with his hands, which are worn with gloves with electrodes built into them and connected.

These sessions do not differ significantly, with the exception of the type of microcurrent therapy, the technique used by the specialist and the features of the device models.

You can see firsthand how the microcurrent therapy procedure works in the video below:

6-7 days before the microcurrent procedure, it is necessary to exclude protein foods from the diet.

During the sessions, it is recommended to give up alcohol, smoking and drinking coffee, and try to get more rest.

Duration of the course (taking into account age)

The results obtained last for about 6 months. It all depends on the characteristics of the patient’s skin.

To achieve a positive effect, it is worth taking the course. Basically its duration is as follows:

  1. Young girls under 30 years of age. Use for prevention. The course does not last long.
  2. Women under 40. Often cosmetologists prescribe about 5-6 sessions, which should be carried out once every 7 days.
  3. Ladies under 50 years old. The course increases to 8-12 manipulations. They need to be carried out at intervals: once every 3 days.
  4. Women after 50 years. The duration of the course is determined by the doctor. 1-2 days between sessions is enough.

Types of microcurrent therapy

Cosmetology salons offer more than one type of procedure of this kind. You can choose any one. The most popular are:

  1. lymphatic drainage;
  2. reprogramming of facial muscles;
  3. microcurrent lifting of the skin of the face and neck;
  4. microiontophoresis;
  5. disincrustation.

Microcurrent lymphatic drainage is based on the process of releasing excess fluid from tissues. After 22 years, blood flow in the facial skin leaves much to be desired, and fluid stagnates in the interstitial space.

Here, an accumulation of cell waste products occurs, which leads to damage to facial tissues. Lymphatic drainage copes well with this problem, eliminates circles, and removes swelling under the eyes.

Reprogramming the facial muscles aims to restore nutrition and tone of the facial muscles. This is a brilliant alternative to Botox. As a result of the influence of microcurrents on the epidermis, the muscles completely relax.

Thanks to neck and face lifting carried out using microcurrents, you can expect to get rid of wrinkles and sagging skin, in addition, the tone of the facial muscles will noticeably increase.

But this procedure also has the disadvantage of high stimulation activity. Using conventional equipment, you can encounter certain problems - deepening of facial wrinkles and exacerbation of neuritis.

Electrodes should not be placed in the area of the heart, blood vessels of the neck or eyes.

Ionic mesotherapy is one of the most intensive procedures performed using microcurrent. Therapeutic sessions have a positive effect on pores, relieve swelling and scars.

The skin of the face is rejuvenated. During mesotherapy, no deformation or damage to tissue occurs; other procedures using microcurrent cannot boast of this.

Thanks to microcurrent, amazing results can be achieved in cosmetology practice. This becomes possible thanks to:

  1. stimulation of tissue nutrition and hydration;
  2. restoration of the correct functioning of the sebaceous and sweat glands;
  3. stimulation of local immunity, which leads to the prevention of the development of inflammatory processes;
  4. the porosity of the skin decreases.

An unusual, but already very popular method, has a number of advantages. The procedure is painless, no rehabilitation period is required. The effect is maintained for at least 3 months.

The result of the technique is impressive - the complexion becomes fresher, puffiness goes away, and the tone of the facial muscles increases.

Question answer

What is the real effect of the procedure, how durable is it?

Is there any pain during the manipulation?

Is it possible to achieve a positive effect with the help of microts for rosacea?

Indications for microcurrent facial therapy

Before deciding to conduct a restorative microcurrent procedure, you need to know in what situations such sessions can and should be carried out.

INDICATIONS

  1. the appearance of numerous acne and rosacea;
  2. sagging skin;
  3. development of dermatosis and atopic dermatitis;
  4. the appearance of facial wrinkles;

Microcurrent therapy is the only hardware technique used both to prepare the face and body for plastic surgery, and for the purpose of successfully completing the rehabilitation period.

Microcurrent treatment in combination with other cosmetic procedures can only have a beneficial effect on the condition of the skin.

Contraindications for the procedure

When conducting microcurrent facial therapy, it is important to take into account the individual characteristics of each organism and take into account the presence of certain ailments in a person.

Not everyone is allowed to use microcurrents. There are also contraindications that you need to be aware of.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

  1. pregnancy;
  2. breastfeeding period;
  3. individual intolerance to microcurrents;
  4. oncological diseases and the presence of benign formations;
  5. severe thrombophlebitis;
  6. a condition when there are serious pathologies of internal organs;
  7. recently suffered a heart attack, stroke;
  8. seizures (especially epilepsy);
  9. the presence of metal objects (meaning pacemakers, pins in bones);

Microcurrent therapy should not be performed on people with mental illness, alcoholics or drug addicts.

If contraindications have been taken into account and the patient does not have them, then the risk of unpleasant consequences is reduced to zero.

If you experience discomfort during manipulation, you should ask the doctor to reduce the intensity of the currents.

Microcurrents and microstimulation - what's the difference?

Many women confuse concepts such as microstimulation and microcurrents, although these procedures are completely different. Each of them is based on the effect of current.

However, microcurrents simply penetrate deep into damaged areas of the cell, stimulate their restoration, and accelerate metabolic processes. In this case, muscle contraction does not occur.

With microstimulation, the current causes the facial muscles to alternately contract and relax.

Microcurrents or microstimulation, which is better, is determined by a specialist for each specific case.

Microcurrent therapy at home - myth or reality

You can purchase devices used for microcurrent procedures and perform cosmetology sessions at home.

The result of the procedures depends on the quality of the chosen device, so you should not save money when purchasing equipment for conducting microcurrent.

Among the most popular models of microcurrent devices are the following:

Device name Description Estimated cost
Portable microcurrent therapy device kb-0910A A Chinese device equipped with two electrode balls that generate electric current. It is equipped with a convenient control panel, which is located on the body of the device and allows, if necessary, to easily adjust the power level. To operate you will need a pair of AA batteries. 45-50 $
Bio Wave m920 Gezatone

The device was made in France. Compact, convenient. The amplitude of the energy impulses ranges from 1.3 to 12 V. Thanks to this, it is possible to perform the procedure of toning the facial muscles. $30-40 NuFACE

Manufactured in America by the company of the same name, the device has two conductive heads and operates from a built-in power supply. The device is equipped with an intelligent sensor, whose task is to independently select a skin care program. $150 Ionic-Ultratonic m365 Gezatone

The device is produced in France. Has the ability to generate mono and bipolar electrical impulses. Excellent for electrophoresis and microcurrent facial massage. $60

First of all, you need to pay attention to the manufacturer. Popular brands are more expensive, but they are of good quality and more reliable, as evidenced by numerous customer reviews.

For use at home, a device with a frequency of 1 to 300 Hz and an electronic pulse strength of 20 to 800 μA is quite suitable.

Using microcurrents on the face on dry skin is very harmful, so a special gel must be used.

An experienced master will not only tell you, but also demonstrate how the skin should be treated, and also advise how long to do it.

Additionally, you can watch videos on relevant topics. It is important to avoid excessive care, because it is harmful to the same extent as its lack.

We recommend visiting a cosmetologist to learn all the rules for carrying out the procedure at home.

Cost of microcurrent lifting

The price for one session depends on the type of service and can range from 1200-1500 rubles.

To achieve a confident result, you need to undergo 8-12 procedures with an interval of 2-3 days. After this, it is enough to conduct a maintenance session once every 4 weeks.

Microcurrent therapy is one of the unique modern methods used in cosmetology to restore the firmness and elasticity of facial skin.

If you look at the photo before and after the procedure, you will notice a significant difference - the skin becomes tightened, healthy and youthful, acquires a healthy color and radiance.

Expert opinion

Anna Avaliani

practicing cosmetologist

Microcurrents can be used at any age. If at the age of 20 a girl is faced with some problems that microcurrent therapy can help solve, there are no prohibitions. This procedure is useful for excessive dryness or, conversely, oily skin, the appearance of comedones, rosacea.

Alison Pontius

plastic surgeon

I advise you to spend about 8-12 sessions. Sometimes even more or fewer procedures are required. In each case, it is necessary to take into account the individual characteristics of the person. This manipulation is useful for swelling under the eyes and rosacea. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that you should not carry out the procedure if there are any metal particles in the treatment area (for example, braces). There is no need to prepare for microcurrent therapy.

Reviews

EKATERINA, 37 YEARS OLD, VORONEZH:

“I heard a lot about microcurrent therapy, but I didn’t believe it, I was skeptical. I'm used to not trusting anything. A friend is familiar with this procedure firsthand; she has long been trying to persuade me to join her, and I succumbed.

I want to say that, contrary to all expectations, I was satisfied. I tried ionic mesotherapy. The skin acquired a healthy appearance and glowed with youth. I'll definitely go again."

OLGA VIKTOROVNA, 33 YEARS OLD, VOLGOGRAD:

“I have experienced the use of microcurrent myself more than once. I want to say that after the first course of treatment I was delighted with the result. Radiant skin, bags under the eyes decreased, wrinkles smoothed out.

By the way, the effect lasted for 3 months. The second course no longer had the same effect. The only thing I really like is that the bags under my eyes are reduced after visiting the salon.”

MARINA, 40 YEARS OLD, ENGELS:

“The effect of microcurrents is amazing! It’s so nice when people around you compliment you that you look several years younger! I took one course and will definitely repeat it again.”
