The muscles of the pubic and umbilical regions form the lower border of the groin region. The pubic region includes the pubic articulation of the ilium with the pubic articulation: the upper part of the symphysis, the layers of the rectus abdominis sheath, the pubic arch, into which the terminal branches of the pubic ganglion pass on the right side. They make up the abdominolumbar part of the pelvic diaphragm. The muscles of this area of the abdominal wall are the superficial transverse perineal muscle, continuous with the pubic symphysis, covering the genitourinary organs in front, as well as the labia and clitoris sheaths, descending to the anterolateral corner of the vulva; deep transverse abdominis muscle lying behind the perineal vagina
