Necrosis of the Pancreas Acute

Pancreatic necrosis: acute disease of the pancreas.

Acute pancreatic necrosis (AP) is an inflammatory-necrotic damage to the pancreatic parenchyma in its most severe form with the threat of peritonitis. It manifests itself as a severe pain syndrome, accompanied by intoxication and local inflammation around the pancreas. Treatment of PN is based on infusion-transfusion therapy to eliminate hypovolemia, correct metabolic acidosis and hemodynamic disorders. The prognosis for the development of pancreatic gangrene or complications of PN is questionable.
