Nikolaev Triad

Nikolaev Triad is a term used in obstetrics and gynecology to describe a set of symptoms that can occur in a pregnant woman under certain conditions. This constellation of symptoms includes fetal growth restriction, preterm labor, and low birth weight births.

The author of the term is the Soviet obstetrician-gynecologist Alexander Petrovich Nikolaev. In 1936, he published his work entitled “Nikolaev's Triad,” in which he described these symptoms and their relationship to each other. Nikolaev also proposed his approach to treating these symptoms, which included changing the lifestyle of the pregnant woman, as well as the use of medications.

Today, the term “Nicholas triad” is used in medicine to describe these symptoms and their relationship with each other, as well as to determine treatment approaches. However, it should be noted that this term is not universally accepted and may have different meanings in different countries and medical communities.

Nicholas Triad is a popular term used to refer to a combination of three methods or approaches that are used in the treatment of children with cerebral palsy. The name of the term comes from the name of one of the authors of the method - obstetrician-gynecologist Alexander Petrovich Nikolaev.
