What is nodular mastopathy?
Nodular mastopathy, also known as fibrocystic disease, is the most common form of mastopathy. It manifests itself in the form of nodules and cysts in the mammary gland. The nodules can be soft or hard, and they usually do not cause pain unless they become larger.
Depending on the cause of occurrence, mastopas can have such forms as benign, malignant (adenoma, cancer) and fibrous lipematosis.
The benign form of fibrocystic disease consists of the formation of various tumors and formations inside the breast. The development of pathology usually occurs due to changes in hormonal metabolism during menopause or after childbirth and other reasons. At one stage in the development of the disease, a tumor can turn into malignant or vice versa - but not always. This depends on the activity of cells and the metabolism of tumor substances.
