Nosology is the study of specific diseases, their symptoms and manifestations. It can also be used to describe various health conditions or diseases, which can be classified and characterized based on certain criteria. However, nosology can be used not only for diseases, but also for conditions such as injuries, disabilities, developmental disorders and other disorders.

The history of this discipline is quite young. In our country, by analogy with the word “pathology,” it was originally called something else.
