Outdoors

On hot summer days, swim outside. When play time is over, fill the outdoor pool or bathtub with water and let your child lather himself up with soap. Then place him on the grass and hose him down or use a jug, then wrap him in a large towel like a mummy and sit him in a lounge chair or on the grass to rest for a few minutes.

Or let the children lather up and run under the water pouring from a hose. You probably won’t refuse to wash your hair in the same way. If you live in a hot climate, you can wash yourself in a warm shower right outside. How nice it is to feel the smell of summer under the streams of water, drying out under the rays of the sun.

Don't slip. If you have used soap in a kiddie pool or bathtub, make sure you rinse the sides and bottom thoroughly to prevent them from becoming slippery.
