This "monitor", sometimes called a diagnostic or asthma booth, was developed by the University of Oregon Medical School and was called "oxybronchoscopy". In the United States, it is used as a first-line tool to identify individuals at increased risk of respiratory infections, including smokers, adults who participate in winter sports, and adults living in cold climates.
