Periostosis

Periostosis is a disease of osteochondral tissue. The word “periosteum” itself, translated from Greek, means a bone membrane that lies around the bone and prevents it from being damaged or dissolved. In the human body, periosteums cover and protect arteries, nerve trunks and blood vessels. By the way, even during surgical intervention, the doctor tries not to damage the top of the bone, so the skull is opened during the operation through the plane of the sutures. In a word, this is an important protective shell of the bone skeleton, on the condition of which human health largely depends.
