Phlebitis

Pylephlebitis (synonyms: acute thrombophlebitis, phlebitoma, coagulation thrombophlebitis) is an acute venous disease with the development of phlebitis, in which inflammatory phenomena are mild. It occurs as a complication of diseases associated with impaired venous circulation.

Based on the manifestation of symptoms and the severity of pathological changes, pylephlebitis is usually divided into acute phlebitis, recurrent phlebitis, and chronic superficial pylephlebitis.
