Pyrethrum, or Dalmatian Chamomile

Compositae - Asteraceae (Compositae). Pharmacy name: pyrethrum flowers - Pyrethri floe (formerly: Flores Chrysanthemi cinerarii folii).

Botanical description.
Perennial herbaceous plant up to 1 m in height, with baskets of white or red flowers. Homeland - Dalmatia; bred in many places - Japan, Africa, America.

Active ingredients: pyrethrin (nerve poison), glycosides and essential oil.

Application. Used as an insecticide against all types of insects.
