This muscle is located between the buttocks and thighs and is responsible for various functions in the body, including holding the torso upright and supporting movement of the lower body.

Piriformis syndrome can cause discomfort, pain and other unpleasant sensations in the buttocks, thighs and lower back. The disease can be caused by various factors such as excess weight, poor posture, improper walking, injury or infection.

One of the main symptoms of piriformis syndrome is pain in the buttocks. The pain may be acute or chronic and worsens with lower body movements such as lifting the legs, standing, or sitting. Other symptoms may include numbness
