Positano

Positan is an antiallergic drug produced by a Polish manufacturer. The main component of the drug is ketotifen. Positane is used in the prevention of allergic reactions such as hay fever, bronchial asthma, allergies to animals and house plants, including allergies to odors. In addition, the drug can be used for the prevention and treatment of other allergic diseases: urticaria, atopic dermatitis, allergic conjunctivitis, migraine, rhinitis and others.

Some contraindications to the use of Positan include: hypersensitivity to the active components of the drug, pregnancy and breastfeeding, children under 2 years of age (in tablets), 4 months (in syrup). There is also a danger of overdose of the drug due to the presence of active substances in its composition. The main side effects when taking Positan can be sedation, fatigue, mild nausea, and headaches. In case of overdose, the following symptoms are usually observed: confusion, difficulty concentrating, drowsiness and slowed reactions. Painful gastrointestinal symptoms as well as allergic skin reactions may occur.

Particular attention should be paid to interactions with other medications and drinks while taking Positan. It is recommended to take the medication on a weekly basis after consulting a doctor.
