Signs of yellow jaundice

Know that in most cases of jaundice, yellow and black, the urine is foamy and colored. The more colored the urine, the more pungent it is, and this the more indicates the well-being of the liver and its strength. Signs of jaundice due to a hot disorder of the nature of the liver are already known signs of such a disorder of nature, it does not matter whether there are signs of a hot tumor or not. With such jaundice, the stool does not become as white as it does with jaundice due to blockages, but, on the contrary, it is often more strongly colored, and the heaviness that is felt with jaundice due to blockages is not felt. Appetite decreases, thirst increases, the body loses weight, urine turns red. This type of jaundice rarely occurs suddenly. If the cause of yellow jaundice is the great acridity and burning of bile in the gallbladder, then this is indicated by the constant yellow color of the body and the blackness of the face alone, as well as the whiteness of the tongue, weight loss and constipation due to the strong drying of feces by bile. A sign of this is also colorlessness, liquid urine at the beginning of the disease, for bile is retained in the body, and not in places of expulsion; then the urine turns yellow, then turns black, thickens and at the end of the illness acquires a very fetid odor.

A sign of jaundice from a hot disorder of nature throughout the body is that the whole body is hot to the touch and itching is felt in it. Appetite may be small, with a penchant for everything thick and sweet. The feces are close to normal or soft, and so is the urine. The vessels feel very hot and their color changes. There is no such whiteness of stool and heaviness in the area of the liver and gall bladder, which occurs with jaundice due to blockages; on the contrary, the stool sometimes turns out to be colored and the body is light. The liver does not show any separate signs of yellow jaundice, and hepatic jaundice does not occur suddenly, as with types of jaundice from blockages. If jaundice occurs as a result of a hot or hard tumor, then you know its signs from what was mentioned earlier. As for jaundice from blockages, one of its constant signs in most cases is strong whiteness or some yellowness of the stool, as well as strong yellowness of urine in color, heaviness in the abdominal walls and in the right side, pain and swelling of the liver after eating and itching during whole body; It is easy for the patient to sleep on the right side.

With gallbladder-dependent jaundice, the stool immediately becomes very white, and the stool first turns white, and only then does jaundice occur. And with hepatic jaundice, the stool turns white only gradually, because the gallbladder sends out the bile it contains little by little until it is depleted. Therefore, the feces also turn white little by little and become completely white when jaundice has already appeared. If a blockage forms in the passage from the gallbladder to the intestines, then damage to the actions of the liver occurs not before and not immediately after the blockage, but only when the liver is irritated by the bile retained in it, which does not find its way into the already overcrowded gallbladder and immediately retained in the liver; At the same time, the bitterness in the mouth becomes stronger and the thirst becomes significant.

Jaundice, depending on the gallbladder, is often caused or accompanied by kulanj in the manner we have indicated. Jaundice due to blockages due to cold or tightness is indicated by previous circumstances, including the general condition of the whole body. If the cause is thick juice, then the previous regimen is an indication of this, and if the cause is the growth of something or a clogged passage, this is indicated by the constant presence of jaundice and signs of blockage, as well as little benefit from the use of opening agents - enemas and others. If the cause of jaundice is the weakness of the expelling force of the liver or its decomposing force, then the color of the urine is not as significant as with jaundice from blockages, when the separating and expelling forces are great. In this case, the stool does not become bright white, the heaviness that occurs with blockages is not felt, and there is a weakness in all the functions of the liver. Sometimes this jaundice is accompanied by diarrhea and signs of liver weakness. With jaundice, due to weakness of the gallbladder, there is severe nausea and bitterness in the mouth, without a feeling of heaviness. Jaundice then arises little by little and the color of the stool is between white and yellow, but the color of the urine is very strong, there is no weakening of the separating and expelling power of the liver. Some doctors believe that with jaundice depending on the gallbladder, when the liver is in good condition, the urine retains its natural color and quality, but this is impossible, because a properly functioning liver first drives bile into the gallbladder, and if this fails, then into the urine and, if possible, prevents it from entering the blood. However, if the urine with jaundice remains colorless or slightly colored for a long time, then this is worse, and one can be more afraid that the patient will get dropsy, because such signs indicate blockage from the cold. In case of jaundice from poisoning, the indication is a bite if the cause is an animal, and if jaundice occurs from poison, this is indicated by the previous healthy state and good quality of the patient’s juices, as well as the sudden onset of the disease without the color of the stool turning white.

As for crisis jaundice, its signs are that it occurs during acute illnesses with a crisis, expressed in jaundice, and is accompanied by other signs of crisis, for example, nausea, the urge to vomit, vomiting bile, severe insomnia and thirst, minor urge to eat, bitterness in the mouth, shortness of breath and dryness of nature. Crisis jaundice only indicates a crisis; As for the favorable or unfavorable course of the disease, this is checked by accompanying signs, which we will talk about in its place. The pulse in yellow jaundice is in most cases small due to weakness of strength; it is not strong, since the bile is light and hot, but it is hard due to the extreme dryness and is not so fast, because the strength is not so great due to the bad state of the liver’s nature. Yellow jaundice often produces yellow sweat.
