A professionogram is a description of the totality of psychological and psychophysiological characteristics of a person necessary for the successful mastery and effective performance of a certain professional activity.

The professional program includes:

1. Characteristics of the features of professional activity (working conditions and regime, content of labor functions and operations, requirements for skill level).

2. A list of professionally important qualities necessary for successful mastery of a profession (abilities, personal qualities, health).

3. Recommendations for professional selection and professional suitability (methods for studying and assessing the suitability of candidates).

A professional profile is drawn up based on a study of the characteristics of professional activity and the requirements it places on the employee. It is the basis for professional selection, career guidance and vocational training.
