Pseudoatrophoderm of the Neck

Pseudoatofoderma is a skin disease that is accompanied by severe loss of collagen and elastin, which leads to the appearance of deep age wrinkles, loss of skin tone and elasticity. This type of pseudoatoform usually appears after a certain age when the skin begins to lose its elasticity and is therefore considered one

This article will consider such a skin disease as pseudoatofodermatous lesion of the skin of the neck.

Causes. Insufficiently studied. It is located in the superficial layers of the skin, mainly on the lateral surfaces of the neck, face or scalp. Morphologically it is represented by a characteristic thickening, keratinization of the epidermis and dermis due to sarcoid atrophy. Dermofibromas are considered as benign tumor-like formations that develop from fibroblasts and other forms of cellular differentiation of melanin-forming tissue. Often observed in combination with other clinical manifestations of sarcoid infection; Cases of the development of Sendhoff syndrome - pseudoatrophic papules, eruptive elements and palpable lymphadenopathy - have been described, but histologically the presence of sarcoid lesions has not been proven in them. The size of the elements, the severity of the process and the degree of skin infiltration in pseudoatrophoderm of the neck vary. The course is favorable, spontaneous regression is possible.
