Lead Endocardial

The endocardium is an internal human organ located in the heart cavity. The endocardium is the membranous membrane of the inner surface of the heart and consists of three layers: endothelium, subendothelial tissue and fibrous membrane. Endocarditis refers to an inflammatory disease of the endocardium, which leads to its destruction. As a consequence, the heart valves are destroyed and heart failure is possible.

The main method for diagnosing endocarditis is echocardiography, which can be used to evaluate the morphology of the endocardium. Also used is the determination of biochemical markers of inflammation in the blood - C-reactive protein, as well as the determination of IgG, IgA and IgM antibodies to cardiolipin in the blood serum. To confirm an infection caused by the Epstein-Barr virus or cytomegalovirus, immunological diagnostic methods and virological testing with the isolation of virus cultures are used. Currently, more and more young people are prone to endocarditis -
