Psychosis Insolation

Insolation psychosis (or insolation psychosis) is a type of mental disorder associated with impaired perception of sunlight. This form of psychosis can be caused by prolonged exposure to bright light, as a result of which the ability to correctly assess the environment and perceive colors is impaired. Hallucinations of varying degrees are also possible, especially under the influence of strong light sources.

The main symptom of such psychosis is blurred vision, which is accompanied by negative emotional reactions. The person may feel tired, irritable, or depressed. He may experience severe eye pain, blink frequently, and be unable to see certain parts of the environment (especially if he is in the sun). In such cases, it is usually recommended to go into the shade, wear dark glasses and drink enough fluids.

In particularly severe forms of insolation psychosis, attacks of aggression or delirium are possible. A person in this state may develop depression, anxiety or apathy. In severe cases, psychosis can lead to fainting or even coma.

Insolation psychosis is dangerous for people working in industrial production or in hospitals. It is important to remember that the first sign of such a disorder is discomfort and impaired perception of light, and not pain or swelling. If you experience these symptoms, you should consult a specialist, such as a doctor
