Pump room

A pump room (from the French buvette - buffet, kiosk) is a structure in the form of a well or spring from which water is supplied through pipes for drinking and household needs.

A pump room is a small pavilion, which is usually installed outdoors, next to a water source. It can be made of various materials such as wood, metal or stone. Inside the pavilion there is a tap or fountain from which you can draw water.

In Russia, pump rooms are often installed in resorts and sanatoriums, where they serve to provide vacationers with drinking water. In addition, pump rooms can be used to store and distribute water during public events such as sporting events or concerts.

One of the most famous pump rooms in Russia is the pump room in Essentuki, which was built in 1848. This pump room is one of the symbols of the city and attracts many tourists from all over the world.
