Renoradiography

Renoradiography - (reno-radiography, reno-radiography) is a method of x-ray examination of the cranial cavities and hard tissues of the skull. Using X-ray diagnostics, the skull allows you to assess the condition of the cerebrospinal fluid - intracranial fluid and skull bones for intracranial neoplasms.

Renorenography is based on radiation diagnostics, which, using X-rays, allows one to visualize the internal structures of the skull, as well as tissues and organs located close to the skull. Other examination methods, such as ultrasound, MRI or CT, are ineffective in this case, since these procedures do not allow us to assess the condition of the skull from the inside. X-ray diagnostics allows us to make a conclusion about the density of the bone tissue of the skull and the presence or absence of defects (ulcers) in it, which can lead to the formation of intracranial pressure and atrophy of brain tissue. Thus, renorenotography is a mandatory procedure when carrying out therapeutic measures in patients with degenerative and tumor diseases of the brain, pathologies of the cranial or nervous system.

The main indication for examination of the cranial cavity is neurosurgical pathology. Such ailments include all types and stages of malignant and benign tumors, inflammation of the membranes of the brain or the brain itself. In some cases, neurosurgeons are tasked with diagnosing the presence of parasitic, infectious or bacterial lesions, injuries or deformations of the cranial surface of varying severity. The method can show diseases such as hydrocephalus, brain abscess, fungal infections, bone fractures, hydrocephalus, ischemia, trigeminal neuralgia. No less important indications for renoradiography are relapses of migraines, epilepsy, headaches of unknown origin, carpal tunnel syndrome, and vascular pathologies. Diagnosis of the skull is especially important during medical operations, because the condition of the cranial bone directly affects treatment tactics and the final outcome of surgery. A retrospective X-ray report makes it possible to evaluate changes in the images after several months or years, which serves as proof or refutation of the presence of certain diseases. As a result, radiography provides information about the state of the cerebrospinal fluid, bone and soft tissue of the cranial cavity, and if we are talking about X-ray analysis of the bones of the facial skull (x-ray craniofacial region), then the specialist can obtain information about the state of the tissue of the bone structure itself. When carrying out renography diagnostics, it is important to observe certain precautions. For example, a procedure may cause anxiety for the patient, but at the same time, the doctor will also experience anxiety regarding the diagnosis. X-rays of the skull are often accompanied by a pronounced negative emotional background around the patient and various mental disorders. The doctor, forced to observe with his own eyes the patient’s condition, realizes the complexity of the situation. Therefore, it is extremely necessary to have a caring attitude and tact towards the patient, taking into account all the factors and symptoms that influence the implementation of renography.
