Revascularization

Vascularization) is a surgical procedure aimed at restoring blood supply to an organ or tissue by creating new vascular pathways or restoring the functionality of existing vessels. Revascularization is one of the main methods of treating various diseases associated with circulatory disorders, such as coronary heart disease, peripheral arterial disease and cerebrovascular diseases.

One of the most common forms of revascularization is coronary artery bypass grafting, which is used in the treatment of coronary heart disease. In this procedure, the surgeon creates a bypass for blood around the blocked section of the coronary artery by using another vessel (most often a leg vein or radial artery) to ensure normal blood supply to the heart muscle. Thus, coronary bypass surgery eliminates cardiac ischemia and prevents heart attacks.

Another revascularization method is angioplasty, which is often used to treat peripheral arterial disease. During angioplasty, the surgeon inserts a flexible t
