Roland's Furrow

Roland's groove (lat. emissio Rolandi) is a formation in the nasal part of the lower jaw, resembling a longitudinally curved groove descending from top to bottom relative to the point of separation of the dental and maxillary alveolar arch. It is denoted by the Greek letter omicron. The word “Rolandova” is associated with the name of the French physician Roland (1528–1614).
