Sanitary Post

The sanitary post is a formation of the **medical service of the Civil Defense** (Medical Service of the Civil Defense).

It is necessary to highlight ***two fundamental tasks*** that are set for each joint venture: to organize first aid for the wounded as quickly as possible and to provide assistance to persons in life-threatening situations. To successfully carry out these tasks at a joint venture, it is very important that it includes specially trained people who, when a corresponding situation arises, can quickly organize and carry out the required activities to the required extent.

A unit can be organized as a sanitary post or a medical company:

- Formed on the basis of the medical unit of an enterprise, university or institution - At the same time, it is staffed from the personnel of civil defense forces and medical institutions - Designed to ensure the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the assigned team (in turn, they are equipped with medical, sanitary and epidemiological equipment and equipment, medicines and dressings, transport and instruments, and the number should not exceed 35 people)

History of the creation of medical units

Sanitary posts - one of the structural links of sanitary and preventive provision of the population, are created at all large healthcare facilities, public education, public utilities and other facilities in order to provide timely medical assistance to workers and employees of these facilities. The task of the sanitary post in the Russian Federation: 1. Providing first aid and emergency care. 2. Preventive work at the facility to prevent the health of employees. 3. Identification of initial signs of illness and poisoning among employees. Sanitary posts are an important link in rescuing victims of man-made and natural accidents at industrial facilities. The main objectives of the joint venture are: Monitoring the health status of citizens exposed to the adverse effects of environmental factors and the labor process; Providing preventive, therapeutic and diagnostic first aid in case of emergencies, poisoning or diseases; Carrying out sanitary and hygienic educational work to protect and improve the health of participants in the production process.
