Scientists: Coffee makes women's breasts smaller

Excessive coffee consumption may cause breast size to decrease, according to Swedish researchers from Lund University.

300 coffee lovers voluntarily took part in the study. Scientists found that women who drank more than three cups of coffee a day lost an average of 17% of their breast volume. At the same time, participants with a significant size were at greater risk. Experts believe that the reason may be the fact that about half of women are carriers of a mutated gene that responds to excessive caffeine consumption, which, as a result, affects breast size.

In addition, experts have found that caffeine can affect the levels of the hormones estrogen and testosterone in a woman’s body.
