Sclerosis (from the Greek skleros - hard) is the transformation of normal bone tissue into coarse-fibrous or leafy bone tissue with a reduced content of organic substances and a predominance of the inorganic component. Thinning of the stroma and extensive areas of bone sclerosis indicate its progressive damage by the tumor process.
