The plant contains alkaloids, the basis of which is securinine, as well as tannins, starch and a large number of various amino acids (asparagine, glutamine, alanine and proline). The largest amount of amino acids is determined during the period of intensive growth and flowering of the plant.
Securinegi drugs have a stimulating effect on the nervous system, increase heart contractions, and increase muscle tone. Securinega is used for asthenic conditions, neurasthenia with fatigue, weakened cardiac activity, paralysis and impotence arising from functional nervous disorders. Its use is effective for burns, fractures, to stimulate the healing of damaged tissues, for chronic alcoholism and food intoxication.
To prepare an infusion of Securinega subshrub, 1 g of leaves is poured into 1 glass of hot water, kept in a water bath for 15 minutes, cooled at room temperature for 45 minutes, filtered through two or three layers of gauze, squeezed and brought to the original volume. Take 1-2 tablespoons 3 times a day after meals.
