Falciform minor process - Processus Falconiformis Minor The falciform (or small) process is the second branch of the rectus abdominis tendon. The tendon originates from the groin area and goes down to the navel. At the border with the abdominal muscle there are two branches to which the fibers of this muscle are attached. One of them is called the crescent or small process, the other is called the quadrate. The crescent is attached to the transverse fascia of the abdomen in the upper corner. The sharp upper edge, which approaches through the inguinal canal into the inguinal fossa, is small, and the wide posterior part ends at the upper part of the pubic symphysis.
