Shilovtseva Operation

The Shilovtsev operation is a surgical procedure that was developed by Soviet surgeon Sergei Petrovich Shilovtsev in the 1950s. This operation was used to treat diseases of the heart and blood vessels, as well as to improve blood circulation in the extremities.

Shilovtsev operation involves the surgeon making a small incision in the skin in the shoulder or thigh area, and then removing part of the artery or vein that is close to the surface of the skin. This improves blood circulation in the limb and reduces pain and swelling associated with vascular diseases.

The operation is performed under general anesthesia and takes about an hour. After the operation, the patient remains in the hospital for several days to ensure that everything was successful. In most cases, after Shilovtseva surgery, patients feel better and can return to normal life.

However, like any other surgical procedure, Shilovtsev surgery has its risks and can cause complications. Therefore, before performing an operation, it is necessary to carefully assess the patient’s condition and ensure that it will be effective and safe.

In general, Shilovtseva surgery is an effective method for treating vascular diseases and improving blood circulation in the limb. However, before undergoing it, it is necessary to conduct a thorough examination and discuss all possible risks with your doctor.
