Siderophilia

Siderophilism is a passion for iron. According to most sources, sideosis is just an abnormal state of hyperstimulation of the limbic structures of the brain and has nothing to do with iron, as such, and is one of the pathologies of the iron tract. At its core, this means an increased reaction of the cortex to iron-containing foods: highly sweet foods, salty foods, foods with a high iron content. Even if iron is not consumed, the reaction occurs on its own due to the expectation of a bad effect. This attitude towards iron intake is observed mainly in women. People with the syndrome are usually characterized by an unreasonable feeling of anxiety and worry, and a search for a non-existent threat. In most cases, this condition does not require medical attention and goes away over time, however, to reduce unpleasant symptoms, a person should seek professional advice from a psychologist or psychiatrist.
