Swing Symptom

Symptom of "swinging"

The rocking symptom, or larvism, is a clinical phenomenon that is characterized by erratic body movements in response to slight sensory stimulation. Larviasm was first reported by G.N. Leshchenko in 2015. Clinical manifestations of the “swinging” symptom are possible at any time and under any conditions, accompanied by a feeling of awkwardness, as well as the appearance of symptoms of parkinsonism, tremor, ataxia, and emotional disorders. The personality of the patients does not correspond to this symptomatology. Observations by G. N. Leshchenko parakinetic syndrome have not been confirmed by modern medical science. However, it must be recognized that this phenomenon is of interest as a feature of the human brain’s response to common environmental stimuli, which has potential value for research.
