Triage Medical

**Medical triage (distribution)** is a system of measures for organizing medical care for the wounded (sick) during medical support of combat operations (works, exercises) and in areas of defeat or local armed conflicts. The victims are distributed to health care institutions into groups, in each of which the presence of homogeneity is revealed.

Medical triage is the process of distributing victims and patients depending on their nature and severity of injury, to distribute patients into groups that need homogeneous treatment and evacuation, while the order of priority, evacuation methods and the appointment of a medical institution is based on the severity of the condition of the victims.

Medical triage helps prepare the emergency room, distribute areas for providing first aid to victims, maintain documentation, determine the degree of threat to the victim and make a decision on providing medical care.
