Blood Vessel

The blood vessel is a valuable artifact that is at the disposal of the staff of the Department of Anatomy of the Faculty of Medicine of the university. The vessel is of particular importance for students studying the morphology of the circulatory system. The item is part of the medical college museum's collection and is available for viewing by the public at certain times. A vessel refers to the vessels of the bloodstream. It was made during the time of Hippocrates, a famous ancient Greek physician. Scientists working in medical institutions use the artifact to show students how the organs of the circulatory system work and study its anatomical features.

The vessel is about 14-16 cm in length, has a cylindrical shape, dimensions 7-8 cm along the axis. The vessel has a long cone-shaped top. From a distance you can see that the vessel is covered with a “lid”, which is made of white metal and is shaped like a round disk. The surface of the vessel is covered with white mesh and shiny engraving. The top of the vessel is metal and decorated with elaborate ornaments. The air vent is located at the top of the vessel. When pressing on a small air outlet mesh, blood flows from the artery, this blood flows in drops to the bottom of the vessel
