Pulmonary Stenosis

Pulmonary stenosis is a narrowing or incomplete closure of a section of the bronchi when they are in a lateral position. Since the left bronchus is the pulmonary trunk, the disease received this name. Most often, stenosis of the pulmonary artery trunk is detected in its siniosal section.

The pulmonary trunk is a continuation of the left main bronchus into the bronchial axis. At this point, the artery enters its blunt-slit section, which is also called “sinious”. This is where the pathological process most often occurs. Here the passage narrows and its true closure occurs.
