Everything flows, everything changes in our lives.. New models of mobile devices, new cars appear, and, of course, new types of services in the iron sports market... Recently, modern bodybuilders have had such an interesting opportunity as buying sports nutrition in bulk. It would seem that everything is logical: it is much more profitable for the supplier and salesperson in the store to bring a bag of 100 kilograms of protein than to bother with a hundred kilogram bags. Right? And so I brought one large bag to the store, and then scatter it to the clients, whoever needs it... Naturally, this is all good for them, but what about us? For ordinary ordinary consumers? Let's look into the issue...
So, what are the pitfalls of bulk sports nutrition for buyers? Let's remember one of our recent sensational articles, on how to buy sports nutrition and not fall for scammers, which you can familiarize yourself with on this bodybuilding portal or with us - here. Let me briefly remind you that this is a real story about how an ordinary average novice bodybuilder bought a cheap milk formula for children instead of a high-protein protein, and had no idea that it was being properly bred, because the product was beautifully packaged in an original package and even was hermetically sealed - I think everyone knows how to solder an ordinary plastic bag with an iron...
Let's think about it: isn't it a similar situation when buying sports nutrition in bulk? Think for yourself: the seller pours some product into a bag for you from somewhere under the counter... But where is the guarantee that he pours you the original? After all, he, too, can, as in the above story, replace your valuable protein product with some cheap dry milk. And it’s good if it’s low-fat! Ato also in the race for profit can throw fat. Or, for example, not replace it in its pure form, but do it more cunningly: steal a part of a pure protein product, for example, 30 kilograms from this 100-kilogram bag, and then pour in the missing 30 kilograms of the same powdered milk and mix it all thoroughly with the remaining original product. In this situation, even a chemical examination will not help, because the product will still turn out to be high in protein, since most of the product remains in the bag. Well, the fact that the percentage of microelements: proteins, fats and carbohydrates does not correspond to the standards declared by the manufacturer can be safely blamed on the same manufacturer. It turns out to be an ideal scheme for fraud! And you won’t be able to dig in...
If you can’t be convinced, and you still firmly decided to buy sports food by weight, then here’s a number of recommendations, which you should adhere to when deciding to take such a step:
- Buy only from a trusted place that you have no doubt about. A reputable store will never risk its reputation for the sake of cheap left-wing schemes and dishonest profit - this way they will lose all their customers. And for a reputable store, a regular customer is a goldmine. Again, in a serious official store, you can ask to familiarize yourself with all the certificates of conformity and other available documents for this product, find out: where it was produced, where it was imported from, whether its quality was checked by our control services, etc., etc.
- Don't buy too much. Better take a little bit and see how it goes. If everything is OK, and this is really the product you need, you can always buy more. But having tried it at least once, you will already have a clear idea of what the product visually looks like, what it tastes like, what color it has, viscosity, flowability and other physical indicators... Having this knowledge, it will be difficult to scam you even in another place, - You will immediately notice something is wrong.
- Be sure to take an interest in the product you are purchasing online. I think that for any product on the manufacturer’s website there is a detailed description of the product with all sorts of pictures, how it should look in its original form, and how to distinguish it from a fake.
- Try to buy from a new packaging container. For example, if the seller is trying to smuggle you the remaining kilogram of protein powder from the bottom of the bag, “scraped off”, tell him that you will take two, but only from the new bag that was printed in front of you. At the same time, you will be able to verify the integrity of the packaging and, accordingly, the originality of the purchased product.
- Another cool option is to join a coalition with friends or like-minded people who also need this product. For example, buy a ten-kilogram bag for three. Maybe a little over three kilograms per nose will be a lot, but you definitely buy a whole bag, again you will check its tightness, and therefore its originality.
