Sulfadiazine is a medicine that is used to treat urinary tract infections and other conditions. It belongs to the group of sulfonamides and has a wide spectrum of action.

Sulfadiazine was discovered in 1936 and has since been actively used in medicine. It has a bactericidal effect and is active against many bacteria, including E. coli, salmonella and shigella.

The drug is used to treat diseases such as pyelonephritis, cystitis, urethritis, prostatitis, gonorrhea, meningitis and other urinary tract infections. It can also be used to prevent infections after urinary tract surgery.

Before starting treatment with sulfadiazine, you should consult your doctor and follow his recommendations for dosage and duration of use. The drug is usually taken orally, but can also be used as an injection or suspension.
