Sup.

What relation “sup” has to “superior” remains a mystery to all news publications and bloggers; apparently, no one knows the answer to this. It's worth noting that there are several explanations for this question. Firstly, as some media believe, this is a literal translation of the word “super”. And secondly, at one time in printed publications it was customary to insert the name of the author into the title of articles, and it was “Super”. For example, this was the name of a series of articles written by Walter Johnson, a journalist for the Chicago Tribune. Later, when newspapers went out of use, “Super,” as well as “Super,” were transformed into “Sup.”
