**Conical ligament** (g. conus) consists of fibrous connective tissue bundles, between which interstitial bundles of fibrous tissue are located. The bends of the ligament are called convolutions.

The place of transition into the pharynx is limited from below by two projections - processes directed in the bony palate towards the corners of the entrance. The projection of the cervical slope caudal to the conical ligament is 5 mm. It is limited posteriorly by the IV and VI cervical vertebrae. The length of the ligament ranges from 2.9 to 5.1 cm. Typically, this ligament runs further back along the length of the cervix, forming a kind of semi-cone with a depth of 3.2 to 6.3 cm. At the top, the conical ligament passes into the mucus
