Features of facial serum

There are just 5 things you need to know about whey (aka serum). Then you will definitely not confuse it with another product and will be able to get the maximum benefit.

This is a product additional rather than primary care. That is, serum is not used instead of day/night cream.

Facial serum - concentrated product. The formula is limited to a couple of active ingredients, but in high concentration.

Serums - cosmetics narrowly targeted action, aimed at solving a specific problem.

Serums always have a very light texture and are quickly absorbed. In most cases, serums are not much denser than water. Due to their lightness, they are often confused with fluids, but they are completely different products.

Serum requires subsequent application of cream and cannot be applied independently. Although there are exceptions.

Facial serum, regardless of its purpose and composition, is highly effective and, when used correctly, provides stable results.

Types of serums

The range of cosmetic problems that serums can solve is huge. Name any one, and you won’t go wrong.

Hydration. Hyaluronic acid and other hydrofixatives increase the level of moisture in the epidermis.

Rejuvenation. Serums stimulate the synthesis of collagen and elastin in the skin, providing a lifting effect. Or they fight wrinkles, “pushing” them out from the inside using the same hyaluronic acid.

Bleaching. In this case, the main goals are an even distribution of melanin and a renewing effect.

Update. The acids included in the serums affect the effects of acne and photoaging.

Protection against free radicals. It is carried out by vitamin formulas aimed at daily combating the destructive effects of oxidants.

Serums aimed at correction (wrinkles, age spots, sagging) are usually used in a course of 2-3 months and repeated three times a year or as needed.

Serums with pronounced caring properties (moisturizing, antioxidant) can be used on an ongoing basis or in longer courses of up to 4 months.

To achieve the result declared by the manufacturer, the serum must be used according to the rules. So, the serum is applied:

A few drops are distributed over the face until completely absorbed.

It is wise to choose serum and cream from the same line or at least one brand: this is the fastest and surest way to achieve your goal. The exceptions are hyaluronic and antioxidant serums - they are universal.
