Paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia is a condition characterized by disturbances in heart rhythm and an increase in heart rate of more than 120 beats per minute. Most often this is caused by stimulation of the upper parts of the heart, namely the supraventricles, which are the source of electrical activity of the heart.
