Taking Care of Your Lips

Taking care of your lips

Like facial skin, lips often reflect your overall health. Beautiful, smooth red lips indicate good health. A bluish tint is often a sign of a disease of the cardiovascular system, lungs, etc. Dryness and cracks usually indicate a lack of vitamins.

Herpes. Herpes on the lips begins with a burning sensation, after which several transparent blisters appear that dry out. To stop the process, you need to wipe the sore spot with alcohol. Try not to squeeze out the contents of the bubbles. After the bubbles have burst, the sore spot is lubricated with antiseptic ointment.

Cracks. The skin in the corners of the mouth sometimes becomes inflamed. It swells and cracks appear. This can be caused by bad teeth, bad dentures, the habit of sleeping with your mouth open, and spicy food. For dry lips, daily massage with a soft hair brush and then rubbing in a small amount of cream helps.
