Pelvis Spondylolistetic

Spondylolisthetica pelvis (lat. pelvis spondylolisthetica) is a pelvic deformity in which a displacement (spondylolisthesis) of one of the vertebrae of the lumbar spine occurs forward and downward relative to the vertebra located below.

This leads to a disruption in the relationship between the pelvis and the spine. The angle of inclination of the sacrum increases, the shape of the pelvis changes - the posterior section becomes wider and shorter, and the anterior section becomes longer and narrower. Such changes in the pelvis are called spondylolisthetic.

The causes of spondylolisthesis can be congenital (non-fusion of the vertebral arches) or acquired (excessive physical activity, trauma, osteoporosis).

Diagnosis is based on X-ray, CT and MRI data. Treatment includes conservative and surgical methods, depending on the degree of vertebral displacement and the severity of clinical manifestations.
